when i first started, the people behind the other characters barely mattered. i felt good about making characters for people but not because i knew them personally, just a casual act of generosity. i didn’t talk to other members anywhere other than the cbox. i wasn’t cliquey and neither was anyone else.

now, that old ‘writing reveals more about the author than the character they’re writing about’ comes into play. it makes me feel insecure and it makes me feel like i’m giving too much of myself away since i’m intensely paranoid. i’m too private and secretive to roleplay nowadays. it’s depressing. now, i go back and check over my posts and read it from someone else’s perspective to see what i’m showing about me.

the cliquey and elitist stuff is responsible for the death of roleplaying in more than one way. it caused it because people only rp in small circles and exclude others. it caused it because cliques drove people away from roleplaying and it caused it because we all care far too much about what other roleplayers think of us. we’re supposed to roleplay for ourselves.

i’ve got to stop being so paranoid.

i just stumbled across a site saying emma watson "could afford to lose 10-15 pounds".
